4.9 Fresh water system

You can choose to equip your boat with a fresh water system as an optional extra. The fresh water system consists of a fresh water tank, automatic pump and water taps in the pantry and toilet.
Fresh water system

  1. Deck shower

  2. Location of windscreen washer fluid tank

  3. Power switch/fuse for fresh water pump

  4. Water filling inlet

  5. Sink tap

  6. Fresh water tank, pump and filter

Using the fresh water system
  • Fill the tank from the water filling inlet fitting labeled “Water”.

  • Turn the fresh water pump on from the main switch panel. See section 4.2.1 Main switch panel and fuses (12 V system).

  • Keep the pump turned on as long as there is water in the tank.

  • When the tap runs dry, the tank is empty. Turn the fresh water pump off from the main switch panel and refill the tank.

The fresh water filling inlet and septic waste fittings are located next to the fuel filling inlets, if you have selected these optional features. See sections 4.9 Fresh water system and 4.10 Septic system .

  • Do not mix up the different inlets.

  • Make sure the caps labeled "Water" and "Waste" are tightly closed when refueling.

The pump can break when the tank is empty. The pump is pressured and must always have water in it when turned on.

Do not let the pump run dry. Turn it off immediately when the tank is empty.

Consider that you may not be able to fill up the fresh water tank if the boat is not level. The trim and how the boat is loaded affect the tank capacity. In addition, always add an extra 20% reserve to the expected fresh water consumption for the trip.

For more information about the windscreen wiper, see section 4.6.5 Windshield wipers, horn and device chargers.

Maintenance
  • Check and clean the pump filter regularly. The filter is located next to the pump.

  • Check and clean the tank with water once a year. You can access the tank from the hatch below the forecabin bed.

Empty the tank fully for winter storage. Using anti-freeze products is not recommended.
