Gasoline fuel system

The engine uses the gasoline fuel system. The fuel filling inlet is located the driver's seat and is labeled "Fuel". The fuel level in the tank can be monitored from the engine multi-function panel on the steering console (see section 4.3.1 Yamaha engine controls.)

The gasoline fuel system is described in detail in the engine manufacturer's manual. Check the manual especially for:

  • Recommended fuel types

  • More detailed refueling instructions

  • Instructions for use and care.

Diesel fuel system

The diesel fuel system is available as an optional feature for powering a heater. The diesel fuel filling inlet is labeled "Diesel". The fuel level in the tank can be monitored from the engine multi-function panel on the steering console (see section 4.3.1 Yamaha engine controls).

The exhaust gases of fuel-powered devices are extremely dangerous if exposure is prolonged. Over-exposure to carbon monoxide can be lethal. See section 2.6 Carbon monoxide for more details.

  • Never leave the boat unattended when the stove or heater is on.

  • Make sure that the cabin is sufficiently well ventilated and keep ventilation ducts open.

  • Check regularly that the devices function as they should.

  • Never block or cover the heater’s exhaust pipe.

For instructions for use and care, see the manufacturer's manual.

EPA compliant fuel system

The boats for the United States market are compliant with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)  regulations.

The boats are equipped with a carbon canister. The system captures gasoline fumes and prevents fuel overflow when refueling.

In addition, there is a fuel valve controlling the fuel supply to the engine. The fuel valve is located by the gasoline fuel filter.
